Looking for something to do after school? Bring your friends and bang your head to Rock Band on our 60-inch screen! Or battle each other with Super Smash Bros.! There will be chess and board games, and drinks to quench your thirst. Just show us your High School ID to get in.

Celebrate Teen Read Week October 12 -18!
This year’s theme is “Books with Bite”. Stop by the library and pick up a list of books to sink your teeth into!
Teen Book Discussion

Join York High School Librarian Robin Rogers and our own Teen Librarian Patti Palmer as we begin our monthly book discussions. We’ll start by discussing Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series and the upcoming movie. And we’ll have some snacks for you to bite into!

Teen Halloween Film Fest
Friday, Oct. 24 at 4 p.m. AND Saturday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m.
Meetings Rooms 1 & 2
Join us for some classic horror films and some cult favorites. We’ll have drinks and snacks. EcoChallenge #4

#4 - Attend the Elmhurst Green Fest 2008 this Saturday, August 9, and tell us something you learned there that will help you live a "greener" life. There will be events at the library, Elmhurst College and Wilder Park. Click here for information on the events and exhibitors.

For participating, you will get another entry into our summer reading prize drawings (for one of 5 iPod Shuffles and other prizes). We’ll post some of the best responses on this blog. Second Sisterhood Movie Opens Wed., Aug. 6

The movie, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 opens this Wed., August 6th.

The movie is based on the 4th book in the series, Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood, and according to imdb.com, contains flashbacks to the first three novels.

Want to get caught up? The library has all the books and the first movie in both DVD and VHS.
