November Teen Programs

Teen Book Discussion Wednesday, Nov. 12 • 3:30-5 p.m.
Meeting Room 1
We’ll discuss I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak. Talk about no aspirations... 19-year old cab driver, Ed Kennedy, lives an everyday existence--that is, until he's involved in a bank robbery. His world changes dramatically after that afternoon in the bank--not always for the better. Readers will learn that every move Ed makes can have a positive or a negative effect on his life. Through a series of mysterious events, the reader is exposed to Zusak's cleverly derived characters that in the ordinary become extraordinary. You'll enjoy this 2006 Printz Honor Award winner. Pick up a copy at the 2nd floor Information Desk.

We will be taking a break in December for the holidays. Our next discussion will be in January.

Game On! Thursday, Nov. 18 • 3:00–5:30 p.m. • Meeting Rooms 1 & 2
