January-February Programs

Teen Book Discussions
Wednesday, January 21 • 3:45 – 5:00p.m.
Meeting Room 1
We’ll discuss Shadow Divers by Robert Kurson. Similar to Jon Krakauer’s Into Thin Air and Sebastian Junger’s The Perfect Storm, Shadow Divers tells a true story of riveting adventure in which two weekend scuba divers risk everything to solve a great historical mystery—and make history themselves. Pick up a copy in the Teen Area or at the 2nd floor Information Desk. Registration at
eplteen@gmail.com is appreciated.

Wednesday, February 18 • 3:45 – 5:00p.m.
Meeting Room 1
We’ll discuss Whistling Season by Ivan Doig. The saga of how a widow from Minneapolis and her brother—soon to become the new teacher in a tiny Montana community in 1909—change lives in unexpected ways. Whistling Season has all the charms of old-school storytelling, from Dickens to Laura Ingalls Wilder. Pick up a copy in the Teen Area or at the 2nd floor Information Desk. Registration at
eplteen@gmail.com is appreciated.
